Obsessive Creative

I blame the Beatles.
After Watching Hard Days Night on an old black & white TV as a kid growing up in Liverpool I was truly starstruck.
I didn’t know how ( I was only 7 ) but I knew I wanted to be creative.

I love creating and even now after all these years I am still unsure what particular field I enjoy the most. I trained as a designer but took time out when I was younger to chase my dream of becoming a rock star. Alas…It didn’t happen 😁Songwriting led me to artist management where I discovered the wonderful world of media production and remarkably cameras became as important to me as guitars. I currently share a home full of both. It is a joyous space.

After enjoying my all too brief music career I moved on to mixed media design and created a collection of artwork that successfully sold internationally. At this time I also launched a fashion portrait studio and to this day I still really enjoy photographing people, although more so out on the streets both in the UK and Europe. To share my passion for photography I developed a selection of one day photography classes and simply love teaching.

Teaching is extremely rewarding and I love to show people how to get the best from their cameras to unleash their creativity - whether it is face to face tutorials or on the Skillshare platform. Finally I suppose is my love of creating unusual products featuring my art & design. From guitar frames through to up-cycling classic furniture with photographic prints. And of course there is always a new tune to be written…music, it never leaves you.
